Daniel Floyd, a professor at Savannah College of Art and Design, created this video to argue the point that in order to advance the medium as an art form, video games need to contain more sex, not less.  Very entertaining and informative.

This mod for Unreal Tournament 3 looks fantastic and makes me want to get a copy of the game.  The 2d gameplay is inspired.  With a little poish, this could be one of the most interesting game mods I have ever seen.

I am not sure why this exists, but it does: a group of Japanese game modders re-made Final Fantasy VII on the classic Nintendo NES system. Hit the link for video.

FEZ, a platformer shown at this year's GDC, has an excellent gameplay mechanic involving switching between 2d and 3d gameplay. This was done before in the latest paper mario but realized much more completely. More info here: Kokoromi

You are a raptor driving a Jeep running over other raptors. You chain their corpses to the back of the Jeep so you can drag those raptors around. You can use those dragged raptors to smash other raptors. If that isn't the best idea for a fucking game, I don't know what is.

Help an old lady move furniture into her home using a trebuchet. One click starts the catapult swinging, the second launches the furniture. Land the furniture close the its home for a high score.

Shift is a flash puzzle game with an interesting concept that is based on switching negative spaces in a level. Highly reccomended for the unique ideas in gameplay.

This flash game might not be very long, but it has one of the more interesting game mechanics I have ever seen. it is definately worth a play. RIGHT NOW.

This is one of many videos on youTube of Syobon, the Evil Super Mario Brothers clone, which appears to have been built by a Japanese 2chan-er. This game is brilliant in its abuse of the built in gaming instincts many people have with regards to the classic super Mario Brothers game.

They seem to get a little winded at parts, understandably, but it's a solid performance nonetheless."
